FromJuly16,2021,AmazonEuropewillenforceCEEuropeangenerationrequirements.Inotherwords,thenewEUproductsafetyregulations(knownasthe"EUMarketSupervisionRegulation2019/1020")willtakeeffectonJuly16,2021.ThisnewregulationrequiresthatproductswiththeCEmarkneedtohaveapersonlocatedintheEUastheproductcompliancecontact(thatis,whatweoftencallthe"EUauthorizedrepresentative").

　　IfyouaresellingproductswiththeCEmarkandaremanufacturedoutsidetheEU,youneedtolabeltheproductwiththecontactinformationofthepersoninchargeoftheEU.AfterJuly16,2021,itisanillegalacttosellCE-markedgoodsintheEuropeanUnionbuttheresponsiblepersonisnotlocatedintheEuropeanUnion.

　　IntroductiontothenewEUproductsafetyregulations

　　ThenewEUproductsafetyregulations(knownasthe"EUMarketSupervisionRegulation2019/1020")willcomeintoeffectonJuly16,2021.ThenewregulationsrequirethatproductswiththeCEmarkneedtohaveapersonintheEUasaproductcompliancecontact("principal").IfthegoodsyousellcarrytheCEmarkandaremanufacturedoutsidetheEU,youneedtoensurebeforeJuly16,2021:

　　1.SuchgoodshavearesponsiblepersonintheEU;

　　2.ThecontactinformationofthepersoninchargemustbeaffixedontheproductswiththeCEmark.Suchlabelscanbeaffixedtocommodities,commoditypackaging,packagesoraccompanyingdocuments.

　　AfterJuly16,2021,itisanillegalacttosellCE-markedproductsintheEUwithoutanEUresponsibleperson.

　　Firstofall,itisnecessarytoconfirmwhethertheproductcomplieswiththeCEmarkingregulations.CommoncommoditiesthatrequireCEmarkingincludetoys,electronics,personalprotectiveequipment,machinery,constructiongoods,gasequipment,leisureandprivateboats,pressurevessels,andmeasuringequipment.Exceptformedicalequipment,civilexplosives,andcertainelevatorsandropewayinstallations,allproductswiththeCEmarkaresubjecttothisregulation.

　　ForproductsthatrequireCEmarking,pleasemakesure:

　　1.ThemanufacturerhasaffixedtheCEmarkandallotherrelevantcompliancemarksonthegoods(orinsomecases,onthepackagingorintheaccompanyingdocuments)

　　2.ThemanufacturerhasissuedavalidEUcompliancestatement(orperformancestatementforconstructionproducts)anddraftedotherapplicablecompliancedocuments.Youcanprovidethesedocumentsuponrequest.

　　Asamanufacturerorbrandowner,ifyouhavenotissuedthecorrespondingdocuments(suchastestreportsandcompliancestatements),pleaseprepareavalidEUcompliancestatement(orperformancestatementforconstructionproducts)andensurethatyoucanmanageitinaccordancewiththerequirementsThelanguageunderstoodbytheagencyprovidesotherdocumentsprovingthattheproductcomplieswithEUrequirements.
